We finally went back to Petco to buy some plants to put in the tank. While we were at Petco, I happened to notice in one of the goldfish tanks that there was a snail. The description said that they were good for cleaning algae and other things in the tank. The first thing that popped into my head was, “we should get the snail, hide it from FishMom, and let it clean the tank for us.
We got the attention of the guy working in the fish area and asked him about the snail. He said it should be compatible with the goldfish. I said that we wanted to buy that snail. He reached into the tank and grabbed him, but when he picked it up, it looked like the shell was hollow. I guess they don’t pay too much attention to the snail at Petco. He said to come back some other day and they may have new snails in stock. I’m pretty sure FishMom would never notice the snail.
