Since I quit my job, I’ve been trying to improve our house little-by-little. Today I went to the Korean supermarket and bought a bunch of fruits and vegetables to make juice (a deal at $21 for a pomegranate, 3 apples, 2 bunches of kale, 3 bunches of spinach, red grapes, 4 pounds of strawberries, and a large jar of kimchi!). As I put the new food into the fridge, I had the same problem we have every time we get new food — the fridge is always too full and poorly organized.
Whenever we get food, we just put it in the spot where it looks like it fits best. The result is that some food gets lost and never gets eaten because we’ll likely forget about it. I found this page that maps out where your food should be located within your fridge. I also found a Pinterest page for organizing your fridge.

I still need to make a little more space in the big section above the fruits and veggies to fit the Brita water pitcher. The next project might be to clean out the freezer.
I’m also planning on getting these Avery Removable Avery Dry Erase Labels, 1.25 x 3.5-Inches, Pack of 16 (40164) so that I can write down dates for some of the random food that we put in the fridge. I took the egg bin out because I just don’t like it! Susie likes putting eggs in there but I’m never sure how old they are, so I prefer leaving the eggs in the container they came in.
